Robin has always been a great sister-in-law. When I was real little, she would always share her sodas with me, let me sit on her lap, and hook it up with bitchin Lego sets for my birthday. Recently, she got hard core into beekeeping. As someone obsessed with a nerd passion myself, I felt inclined to encourage her new nerd passion as much as possible. She needed labels for the honey harvest, and I spent way too long on this.

In the book Creative Characters, Jim Parkinson credited Mryon McVay for using the word “minimum” to establish spacing, relative weight, and proportional characteristics. I’m no type designer, but here is my “minimum”.
